In the Spotlight: Aldo Silvano

“My biggest challenge at LaNubia was getting used to a born-remote organization”

With more than 10 years of working experience as a Business Consultant and Functional Leader in multiple industries, Aldo Silvano started at LaNubia Consulting in April 2020 in the position of Managing Director LaNubia Americas. In his role, Aldo is responsible for expanding LaNubia in the Caribbean and the South American part of the world.

Who is Aldo?

I like to learn new things. Whether they are in my personal or professional life. I am always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. And, I try to make life enjoyable for all around me either through professional help, music, sport or dance.

What has been your biggest challenge at LaNubia?

My biggest challenge at LaNubia was getting used to a born-remote organization. It was different not having an office to go to and regularly meeting with people in different continents. But now, as technology has enabled its possibility, I only see the benefit of having the right fit of people around you, no matter where they are.

According to you, what is LaNubia’s greatest added value for organizations?

The greatest added value is the ability to translate the business needs to the technical solutions. There are many well versed technical organizations that are setting boundaries for businesses based on technical limitations. We make sure it happens the other way around, how do businesses make sure that the technology helps them.

What is the most interesting thing you want to share with the world about yourself?

I love to learn new things about the universe and its origin. One book that has helped in this is one by Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, ‘Astrophysics for people in a hurry’. Especially the last chapter, ‘A cosmic perspective’, offers a very interesting way of looking at life and our lived experience. Truly transformational.

What is your favorite holiday destination?

For sure Lisbon, Portugal. The weather, the food, the music, the people, the architecture, the history, the beaches, the nightlife and its relatively low cost make it the perfect place to go for any type of person.

What can we wake you up for in the middle of the night?

If you are in need, I am always willing to help.

How do you drink your coffee?

Black iced coffee. Not traditional though. Set the coffee, get distracted by your kid, forget about the coffee. After a while remember that you set coffee and then add ice.
